Wisdom Wednesdays: Featuring Dr Sidney Wang

"Wisdom Wednesdays", features the sage advice of our resident oracle, Dr Sidney Wang. Believed to be a reincarnated descendant of King Rama II of Siam, Dr Wang responds to e-mail submissions with advice, predictions of the future and conveys ancient proverbs to provide guidance and support. Dr Sidney Wang's 24 Hour Wisdom, Advice and Inspiration service is also available from the left side navigation for this feature.

This week's e-mail comes from a reader named Tim N. from Glasgow, Scotland. Tim writes:

Dr Dr Wang,

I have been dating two girls who live just a few kilometres from each other. I'm just waiting for the day when one runs into me and the other girl at the Pub. I like them both, but am not sure which one to pick. What should I do?
Cheers,
Tim

Dr Wang responds: Dear Tim,

I have consulted the great water bubble tube in my tank and now have clarity regarding your situation. You must act within the next 30 days or you will be found out, with potentially disastrous results to your relationship(s). One of the girls is true to you; the other is already involved with two other men. You must determine which one is loyal to you.

The twist is that the loyal girl is a descendant of the ancient race of Elves, but does not know it herself. To identify the Elvish girl, (and your true love) tie a two foot measure of rope into a complicated knot and ask each girl to untie it. The one who can untie the knot is the Elf and is your future wife. The other one will become frustrated and will stomp on your foot, inflicting pain to an ingrown toenail that sadly, is about to develop on your right foot. You must end the relationship with the girl who is unable to untie the knot.

The great bubble wall has become unclear, so I am unable to predict when you will marry, but the Elvish girl will bear two children for you. In the meantime, keep on swimming upstream.

  3. Dr Wang, Thanks for the advice. Very interesting advice. I had no idea the lass was an elf. Her ears seem normal.
