Seattle and Back Again

Thursday morning I got up at 3:15 to catch a 6:00 AM flight from Las Vegas to San Diego, where I was in a meeting ALL DAY LONG and was thoroughly shattered. Then at 5:00 PM I flew to Seattle for a meeting I had the next morning. I was flying on a private jet, so at least I was able to relax and spread out in full comfort. I arrived in Seattle just in time for dinner somewhere on the waterfront. The salmon was so delicious...I washed it down with some Alaskan Amber Ale, which hit the spot. After dinner I headed to the hotel where I had a quick drink before retiring for the evening.

Here's John from Seattle...a co-worker and reader of this blog!
On Friday morning I visited several of our stores including the one at University Park. I met John, the General Manager of the store who also happens to read this blog from time to time. At left is John and his dog "Duke" who at 8 months old already weighs 115 pounds, and will grow to about 160 pounds! He is a big boy, but a very sweet and gentle natured dog. I told John I'd post this photo here on the blog, so be sure to leave a comment and say "HI JOHN". You can also visit him on his myspace page. After a busy morning visiting our stores, we headed back to the airport to catch the flight home. I had my camera ready to take some photos to share with you...
Views from the Jet...

Above: Mt Rainier. I snapped these photos on my way back home Friday.

Above: This is Mt St. Helens, which is an active volcano that erupted back in May 1980, which is why the top is flat, it was blown off. Today it looks serene and beautiful. It was a quick two and a half hour flight back; I was glad to get back home this evening to unwind and get some sleep. Thanks for reading today!

  2. I loved the pics of Mt. Rainier...looks amazing. I always enjoy flying into Vegas and Arizona AND CO because of those very sights..not as breathtaking it seems as this shot of Mt. Rainer..I'd probably need to do it the Palm Springs Style...take a private jet.
I'm glad you're back home in one piece without too many crazy stories..any crazy stories?

    Always,
    Crusty~

  5. What great photos of the mountain! It must be easier to take a photo from a private plane than a commercial one. No one thinks you're a terrorist just because you want to switch seats to get a better angle!

  10. I adore Seattle. I love it almost as much as I love San Francisco. Great, great cities. Too bad you didn't get much time in Seattle.

Odd coincidence - the last time hubby and I went to Seattle, we stayed at the W. I thought the halls were so dark and kinda creepy. I wouldn't want to walk those halls alone.

    Great photos!
