Wisdom Wednesdays: Featuring Dr Sidney Wang

ASK DR WANG, the psychic betta fish

This week's letter is from Eric, in Mountain View, CA.

Dear Dr Wang,

I have a new girlfriend named Rosemary who is originally from Ireland and has some strange habits. For example, believe it or not, she has an enormous rosemary bush in a pot on her patio. She spends time every day with the plant and moves it around to follow the sun when she is home. It is a very large bush and she often asks my help. I've complained before that it's a waste of time to keep moving it around but she gets angry with me and moves it herself. There are a few other oddities, but that one has me stumped. Can you give me some insight about her? Thanks, Eric

Dr Wang responds:

Dear Eric,

I immediately consulted The Great Bubble Wall in my tank to see what visions would be be revealed to me. Your girlfriend Rosemary is quite an extraordinary woman. The Great Bubble Wall indicates that Rosemary comes from an Irish family with a history of magic. Rosemary's grandfather was a Leprechaun, and was a gardener by profession. I have reason to believe that Rosemary may also have inherited her grandfather's talents. I predict that Rosemary will eventually share her secret with you and will become more comfortable telling stories about her family. I also see that she has a charm bracelet that she protects fiercely-be aware of this and do not attempt to take it or try it on. Don't let her think you are only after her lucky charms.

Now, about Rosemary's "rosemary bush"- you should try to make her comfortable by talking about her bush, and do not complain when she asks you for help moving it. Since she is part Leprechaun, you want to avoid making her angry. Offer to help her and talk about how pretty the bush is. As the saying goes: " a hand in her bush is worth two bottles of Guinness". Think about it.

Rosemary is a good match for you, even is she does keep asking you for more gold jewelry.

Keep swimming upstream,
-Dr Wang

To my readers: I'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. May you find plenty of food flakes under your Christmas tree. -Swimmingly, -Dr Wang
