Above: as a starter, I had the "Untraditional Wedge Salad" with Organic baby lettuce, grape tomatoes, olives, marinated mushrooms, cucumber, blue cheese crumbles and a creamy garlic-herb dressing.
above left: Kobe Beef topped with Lobster Claw, and above right: Ahi Tina topped with Tiger Shrimp on Wasabi mashed potatoes. Both were magnificent.
above: An amazing dessert: Chocolate-macadamia nut tart with homemade hazelnut chocolate ice cream.
above: Copley's has a great ambiance and atmosphere. It's my favorite restaurant in Palm Springs.

Wow, you do go to some amazing places. I love dining out and this weekend we went to Krispy Kreme... hmmm. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL -Tod's comment sounds a bit more like where I might "dine" but boy, this place sounds gorgeous for atmosphere but the foods you showed looked and sounded really enticing too. Now, get me a winning lottery ticket so I can make a trip to California and check it out for myself!
ReplyDeleteDo you know what is amazing? Any of these dishes can be made relatively easily. I have a very limited budget, but I could make these, minus the Kobe beef and lobster claw ;) That's just a little bit out of my budget!
ReplyDeleteMy 12 year old saw this and she says she wants to meet you. She wants to be a chef and she wants to "talk food" with you. I love it. I can have a terrible budget and she figures out how to dress it up and decide on good dinners.
Have you ever met Martha Stewart? (She asked me to ask you!)
I'm glad that salad wasn't named, 'Untraditional Wedgie Salad.'
ReplyDeleteI'd like to write the menu description for the beef entree.
"Surf And Turf Combines Forces In An Ultimate Battle To Delight Your Tastebuds!" Coming soon to a dinner plate near you.
tea- I've not met Marta yet...but one of thee days I'm sure I will! I love to cook, I'm a "foodie" and like to experiment. Being creative in the kitchen is a great outlet for me. Even on a budget, the kitchen is one place a person can easily make magic!
ReplyDeleteIf I went Copley's, I would never get up from the fire pit. I love drinking by a fire. Really I just love drinking period. Not bad portion sizes.
ReplyDeleteOh that looks sooo good!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you made the right choice for a place with a pleasant ambience and delicious food. All key to a fun evening with friends and family.
ReplyDeleteOh! I was just thinking about making a chocolate macadamia tart for the cafe-it think it would go very well with their gelato actually....hmm....yes-I think I'll do it!
ReplyDeleteYUM! You had me at blue cheese...LOL!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, I'm sure, to sit in Cary Grant's house! Wild times. The salad looks fantastic.....I'm afraid I'd have to pass on the meat and fish dishes, as good as they look. I love the things you're involved with, the places you eat, the activities you do.
ReplyDeleteWow! Macadamia nut tart & HAZELNUTS chocolate icecream! !!! SWOOOONNNN
ReplyDeleteLove that you preview the restaurant ...if only restaurant critics around here would use more pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming life you have. I'm so glad I can be a voyeur and live vicariously through your posts.
ReplyDeleteWhen I get to Palm Springs I am going to have to check out this copley's place. You've written about it several times so it must be good!
