Sunday Art Review: Mothers In Art

Today is Mother' s Day in the USA, thanks to the ongoing reminders from retailers seeking our investments of flowers, chocolates, fruit baskets and more. I decided today would be a casual Sunday Art Review posting, with a focus on Mothers. So here here are a group of painting that focus on women who are mothers. The featured painting is the ever-famous "Whistler's Mother" a perennial favorite. For today's Sunday Art Review, I hope you enjoy today's visual tribute to mothers everywhere.

Happy Mother's Day to you all.

  3. I like the Cassatts. I've always liked her, there is such a quiet intimacy between her mamas and babas.
