Batman and Robin was always my favourite as well.
I always believed everything they did was for real!
I am two posts behind :o) Just to tell you I got to your blog from Mona's blog (in India). I am a Chilean living in the US, Baltimore to be more specific. Isn't the world small? So, I saw your post and pictures of Baltimore... excellent pictures, did you take them? Well, anyway to answer your question about the tower, it was being converted into an artist condo building where they could display works and also live. In the past, was originally built to promote a product; unfortunately, can't remember the product now, but it had a huge clock with the advertised name on top of the tower. It is not as old as the architecture seems to imply -it was a disappointment for me to lear this when I did ... but that's the story behind the tower. Happy travels in Las Vegas!
I don't know why, but when I was a kid, I thought Robin was cute. He was supposed to be Batman's little sex toy, right? Work with me here... it was my fantasy.
No it's always Superman first and Spiderman second for me but funny thing is I know exactly what Steve is saying about Robin in the funniest sort of way!!
Nice post Rick!
so glad you included WW and BG...the girlies always get left out of super heroes when you boys talk about them.
Does Xena, Warrior Princess count? Because every time I'm in a jam, I find myself asking, "What would Xena do?":)
I would have to say Superman was my favorite. You are right though.....things used to be a lot simpler. Sometimes watching the news is enough to send you over the edge!
Growing up, I always dug The Green Hornet...and he had Kato (Bruce Lee)...Now I've dated myself. Grrrr.
Have you read the Watchmen graphic novel? It sounds like just what you need: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watchmen
It won a Hugo Award and gets discussed in college lit classes. Superheroes for grownups!
Thor was one of my favorites.
I used to look for magic sticks so I could change into him..never found any.
Xena. Definately she!
xx
pinks
I used to love watching Linda Carter in Wonderwoman - I always wanted a figure like hers!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and taking the time to comment, I hope you'll return. :)
What about the Wonder Twins? A teenage brother and sister duo who could turn into anything by hitting their fists together ("Wonder Twin powers...activate!"). Although I think the brother could only be anything that was a form of water, i.e., ice, icicles, waterfalls, etc.
Batman and Robin were definitely my favourites. They showed the tv series here in England.
Oh I do think Xena could make the list as well, she is an icon to many!! The Wonder Twins tho, do give me pause. Gleek drove me crazy
I loved Superman and Spiderman growing up. Remember the green lantern? He was sorta cool....but of course my all time favourite was MIGHTY MOUSE...hereeeeeee I come to save the dayyyyyyy..lol.
