Above: horse drawn carriages provide romantic views of the city, and are a lot of fun.
Above: The retail shops along Palm Canyon Drive are mainly tourist stores- here are two prime examples, "Rich & Famous Celebrity Jewelry Salon" and "Art of Hollywood", which sells all sorts of memorabilia.
Casual Dining Downtown
I usually write about the fine dining restaurants in Palm Springs, but here are a few moderately priced places to eat...
Above: Las Casuelas Terazza is a popular Mexican restaurant with live music nightly and delicious margaritas.
Above: Two great burger joints with wonderful patio seating. left is Grill-A-Burger, right is Tyler's.
above: La Mariposa at the charming Mercado Plaza. These musicians provided a romantic environment for dining al fresco.
Above: The Village Pub is a popular hot spot with a loud patio bar for brews and pub grub. No matter what your preference for food, there is something for everyone in downtown Palm Springs. I guess that's why I like it so well.
