More about the Gaylord National
above: the atrium in the hotel, facing the Potomac River, which is quite beautiful actually.
above: Outside the hotel is a neat statue called the "Awakening". It is supposed to be a man coming alive and emerging from the dirt. It is actually somewhat creepy, but I thought it was cool. Today is the first day of our trade show, so hopefully it will be interesting. Thanks for stopping by!

Not able to leave the property? POOR YOU! STUCK INSIDE PARADISE?
Gaylord. HA. Too easy.
Wow, what a cool hotel.
Awakening? Sinking in quicksand, more like.
Gaylord sure knows how to make a pretty hotel. Be sure to stop by the Opryland Hotel in Nashville for another... Oh, and look me up. I'm just across town! Enjoy your trip, even if it is for business...
Absolutely stunning! I love the statue.
That atrium is amazing.
I've seen the sculpture before; one of my fellow photo bloggers lives in Maryland, and it used to be located very near her home. It was moved to its present location about a year ago.
OMG I LOVE that statue!
Looks like a great hotel Rick. That sculpture is very unusual. I bet it's quite creepy if you see it in the dark!
P.S. I just noticed the photo of the new member of your family. Is he/she a poodle? Hope he is settling in ok.
Such a hard life you are living ;) Just beautiful!
Sorry I haven't been by in awhile. I trust that all is still going well in Palm Springs. I have always wanted to see that "Awakening" statue. I've heard about it and I think it looks neat!
