I wouldn't say I had a bad week, just that it was a little gloomy. I was in San Diego most of the week where it was overcast and rained several days. Work was hectic and had several stress points that wore me out. Meetings back to back all day. Things that should have been nailed down slip through the proverbial cracks and caused extra work. And the never ending flow of e-mails. Hundreds of them a day, just piling up, unanswered. Rather than letting it get me down, I try to think of my favorite things. Well as some of you know I am cursed with champagne taste. This brings me to another scintillating edition of: The Saturday Seven: Favorite Things That Could Make Me Spend $25,000. This is an exercise in dreaming...go on let go, it feels good to splurge. Assume you had money to burn. But first, for something different and for your viewing pleasure, I thought I'd lead off the Saturday Seven with a clip you all know...
And now onto The Saturday Seven: Favorite Things That Could Make Me Spend $25,000

Look at little caged puppy. AW!
Well, all that stuff to spend that good amound of cash sounds great, but to save puppy lives now moves me so...
I'm thinking, and thinking. I'm not sure. I just don't have extravagent taste. I'm much more happy with money in the bank. And a t-shirt, flip flops, shorts, a book, at the beach. No people, no crowds, no travel. Quiet. Peaceful.
When you get to be our age, kiddo, these are the words you'll be singing to the same tune of "These are a few of my favorite things." You still have time, fella. Enjoy all you can now before life changes on you.
Maalox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Cadillac's and cataracts, and hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.
When the pipes leak,
When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.
Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Back pains, confused brains, and no need for sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin',
And we won't mention our short, shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things.
When the joints ache,
When the hips break,
When the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel so bad.
*Hugs!*
Pah! I'd buy three pair of shoes for each of my kids and with the money left over, stop by the gum ball machine!
Great list! That last photo is ADORABLE!!!
If money were no object, I'd like to go to go country-hopping. On my list would be Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji...
I'd also like to visit every state in the U.S. (So far I've been to 23 states).
I'd like to go on a cross-Canada road trip from coast to coast. I've only been to 4 provinces in my own country! How sad is that! I've been to 11 countries, 23 states and only 4 Canadian provinces.
Hmmm...so many other things on my wish list, but it would take forever to write.
I LOVE all of your choices Rick, so I'll go with you on ALL these Excursions....LOL! (Seperate Suites, of course, my dear....!....lol)
GREAT LIST! Hey, How about Paris, too?
animals and tahiti, I agree completeeee!
have a great weekend!
This was a very bright post, I really liked it! Even the colors of our seven. Lots of energy!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth
where do I begin! ...... LOL
saving the puppy very nice
I just noticed in your sidebar that you have meet Ellen you lucky bum!
I'd enjoy everything you mentioned, but I'd find a cheaper masseuse! LOL
ohhh I love your list.
I wouldn't take a cruise to Tahiti, I'd build a house on the beach there, hire a masseuse...Rescue lots of animals to bring there. Woudln't need a wardrobe...
Peace
25K?
I'd remodel my bedroom in a New York second.
Oh my goodness...
Massages, definitely. Personal Chef, a must, as well as a personal trainer. Traveling once a month to hang out with my friends for a weekend would rock. I'd also have a personal wardrobe consultant and a home decorator. I'd also start a charity for single parents and their children, though I'm not sure what'd it would be for yet, but it'd be something good.
have a great weekend, Rick!!

Could I substitute your cruise for one in the Mediterranean? Aaaaand maybe a different hotel in Vegas, although it's been a freaking long time since I've been.
Change the wardrobe store to Nordstrom's and we've got a deal! ;)
This was a pretty good list...I like the trip to tahiti and london...and the pup is sooooo cute...
I hate to think of those poor animals that need to be rescued...wish I could rescue them all...
I want back the condo I could have bought for $149,000 in '92.
$400,000 now, overlooking Puget Sound, ferry dock and Mts., one block from Pike Place Mrkt. AND a great dane.
I could be boring and say I'd invest it, but this is all about SPENDING. So I'd buy a Volvo XC station wagon and take road trips across America... ;) Wait a minute, I said I wouldn't be boring (about the car I mean, not the trips!)...OK...will have to think about this then and come back.
don't even have to think about it!!! i would do a world cruise!
smiles, bee
