Welcome back to another edition of my Philatelic Friday series. Since Spring is in the air, this week's theme is Stamps with Flower Power! On Wednesday I wrote a post about a recent trip to a nearby nursery and greenhouse. The mental image of those orchids and flowers has been burned into my mind's eye all week. It was the inspiration for today's flower theme for Philatelic Friday, so I hope you enjoy the visual of these stamps from around the world. As it turns out, flowers are one of the more popular subjects for government-issued postage stamps, and by looking at them, you can easily see why. The USA for instance has run over a hundred different stamps with flowers featured in some fashion. Enjoy the viewing...

I've never considered myself a fluff and stuff person, but I have a weakness for flowers. I LOVE them.
BTW, we've booked our vacation for Coronado next month. We're at our usual place starting the day after Memorial Day. Maybe this year we'll meet?

Loved this post -very pretty stamp (and floral) collection. I meant to tell you the other day I really like your other recent floral post but I was in a hurry that day (running behind, as usual) and meant to mark your blog as unread so I'd remember to comment and ended up forgetting to do that. Combo of disorganization plus senility -not a good mix! My apologies though for not thanking you for the post at the time.
I work stamps into my envelope art. I love the flowers. Do show the ones out with the hummingbirds and bumble bees and the flowers!
They are all lovely, but the Thai stamps are exceptional!

Nice posts. I always like to get the special stamps and flowers are a bright touch to everyday mail. I am finding I use far fewer stamps these days when bills are paid online or automatically deducted from accounts.
The Thai stamps actually show Frangipani flowers, a.k.a. Plumeria. these are the bloom that are strin together to make Hawaiian Leis...
