Sunset Dinner on the Ranch

It would seem much of my life is an open book with this blog, but there is quite a bit I do not include here for all the world to see. Today I decided to share a little more, as I thought these photos were worth sharing with others. Regular readers of this blog know how much we like to entertain. We're known in our social circles for hosting large dinner parties, themed social events, or just casual cocktails poolside. We're also fortunate to attend some wonderful parties as guests, which serve as ideas for the next time we entertain. My formula for a good party include the following: 1. Menu: Carefully selected food & wine, appropriate for the time of year & attendees; 2. Guest List: interesting people; 3. A Fabulous Setting (natural or created); 4. Music: sets the mood and tone of the evening and; 5. Dessert: always end with a dessert that will keep them talking on the way home. All this being said, I thought I'd share some photos of how important #3 is "A Fabulous Setting". These are photos from a Sunset Dinner on the Ranch. I won't get into details on the location but the ranch is nestled at the top of a mountain with spectacular views. Hope you enjoy these photos:

above: this photo is further back from the one at the very top of this post.

above: Outdoor dining. Mother Nature provides one of the very best locations for a dinner party. The table was set with very simple arrangements of sunflowers.
And now, a stunning series of photos I took of the sunset at the ranch:

Stunning-just beautiful. Even with the secrets you told us, not everyone could put it together like you do. Such a great host. :)
