Have Yourself a Happy, Haunted Halloween!

Happy Halloween to you! Without a doubt it is one of my favorite times of the year. Even though I scare easily, I love the spooky Halloween parties. There is something about seeing all the jack-o-lanterns, witches, wizards, vampires, scary monsters and hearing stories of "things that go bump in the night" that I find so much fun. This year I decided to dress as a vampire, and put together a fun costume. I even had fake blood dripping out of the corners of my mouth...blech!

To me, the best Halloween parties are when guests really get into it and go all out with fun costumes. Depending on your creativity, time and budget, you can create a world of the unknown and unexpected for guests. I love all the hype and theatrics of great Halloween decorations. Check out these great pictures...I hope you have a good-n-spooky Halloween too!

We had a record number of trick or treaters here at our house last night. I lost count but calculate we had somewhere between 80 and 90 -of all sizes and ages -who showed up here and ran out of candy by 7:45! The neat thing here was that my daughter, Mandy, took the two children -Maya and Kurtis -out and they lasted for almost the full two-hours set aside for the kids. I had my doubts initially when they left and fully expected her to return in 5-10 minutes to leave Kurtis at home with me, but he dealt with everything in fine form -although he had been fluctuating all day yesterday as to whether he was going to go T-or-T last night or not. Progress measured in small increments ya know, but this was a big move for sure, for him!

Oh wow!!! They really DO get into the decorating-I love it! We went to a party too, but there were no decorations at all...how can you have a Halloween party and not decorate?!!?!

Your costume looks fantastic. I love the orange lining.

Is it warm where you are? If so I'm so there :-)

Love people who can go all out on Halloween and put everything into it. Love haunted houses even tho I am easily scared and have nightmares. Sometimes it is so worth it :-)

I went as Dorkahontas. Again. My husband was Big Chief Super Nerd.

Gluing long strands of toilet paper to my moccasins and putting a pocket protector on the maiden dress......maybe it'll catch on as this seasons hottest fashion trend?
