The Gaylord National Hotel

This week I am in the Washington DC area attending my company's annual trade show and leadership summit meeting. The event is being held at the brand new Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. It's a huge facility right on the Potomac River and is quite spectacular. This trip doesn't actually qualify as part of my "Rick's Roadshow" series, as I won't really be out sight seeing or doing the tourist stuff. I'll be locked up inside the convention center and hotel working most of the time, but I'll find plenty of things to blog about, no doubt. I grabbed this photo of the hotel from their website, it really is amazing. The hotel just opened a month or two ago, so everything still smells new and is so sparkly-clean. You may recall that I was in the DC area just about a year ago and posted a bunch of nice photos.

above: the lobby of the Gaylord National hotel. If you have to be at a hotel convention center, it is so nice when it is a great facility like this one.

above: Views of Washington DC at night. The monuments are quite stunning. Our actual trade show runs Tuesday and Wednesday, so I should have some fun photos for you later this week. Thanks for stopping by!

It's been years since I was in our nation's capital; I envy you your trip. Well, not the business meetings, but the sight seeing!
