Easter is a favorite for us. We colored eggs -- I used a mixture of crayons and dye, and the candy is the best! And the egg hunts with my brother, A. (special smile)
With us now living on the west coast, we'll be missing Easter with hubby's girls and their mom's family (in TN). I'm kinda sad about that. We were always in charge of cooking the lamb. Grammie makes baskets and sends the kids on a treasure hunt, and we all just and hang together as a family.
i like to color eggs too but my kids are all grown and don't want to do it any more. it's not very fun to dye them all alone. i need some little kids. though i did find a sewing pattern and i have some nice fabrics. maybe i will sew some easter eggs.
This past Wednesday evening, with my daughter's ex-husband visiting here with the grandkids, she and he and the kids dyed Easter eggs -3 dozen of 'em to be exact! And yes, you're so right to say that's a whole lot of eggs! She and I are going to be eating eggs till the cows come home because the kids won't touch 'em when it comes time to dig in and eat! Strange taste buds is all I can say there, ya know! Happy Easter, Rick!
