Larry & Bob from Veggie Tales

For those of you who have young ones at home, you are probably familiar with Veggie Tales, a TV show for kids. My two nieces can sing the theme song to Veggie Tales by heart, and love "Larry the Cucumber" and "Bob the Tomato" like you can't imagine. They had the opportunity to meet Larry and Bob last month- my sister-in-law Miss Kim snapped this great photo. The kids look so cute tiny next to Larry and Bob; you can see how happy they are. Veggie Tales is a production of the Big Idea, whose mission is to "enhance the spiritual and moral fabric of society through creative media". The neat thing about the program is that it isn't overtly religious-but it teaches the basics of right and wrong, etc. I find the show hard to resist actually and could watch it. Some of the really funny ones include: "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything", "Bellybutton", "The Water Buffalo Song", "Big River Rescue". If you are not familiar with Veggie Tales, check out this theme song (listen to it all):

Well that's all for today, just me sharing that great photo of my nieces Bella and Lizzy! I love you both lots and lots.

Imagine your nieces delight if they knew that Uncle Ricky got to have a picture with them as well--you should put that on your memo for future meet and greets :)

I agree, the Veggie Tales are a fabulous tale and my boys adore them--as do I---
great lessons and comical scenes without the riffraff crap of today's crappy cartoons.

a good one for their generation!

My kids loved Veggie Tales when they were little. In some ways, I wish they still liked them!

Oh, Uncle Ricky, those nieces are adorable! Watch out they grow up fast! Very fast... seems like just yesterday they were 2 and 4...now they're 25 and 22... ***sigh!***

I LOVE Veggie Tales! My girls are 20. 17 and 13, and they still have vhs copies that they will not part with. My fav is Madame Blueberry, (she buys too much at StuffMart) and The Grapes Of Wrath (They will not take a bath).
Your neices are super cute :)

I love veggie tales but am glad to have a bit of respite from them. I want to say that I love your blog and what you stand for in helping the planet and adopting a pet from a shelter. I must admit to being in love with the celebrity aspect too. Looks like fun!

If you like to talk to tomatoes,

If a squash can make you smile,

If you like to waltz with potatoes,

Up and down the produce aisle...

Have we got a show for you!

Veggie tales! Veggie tales! I love that show!
