Galleries and Glamour Galore

Friday was a busy evening! We started by attending the new exhibit at the M-Modern Gallery on Palm Canyon Drive. They had a wonderful exhibit of blow up Hollywood photography by famous celebrity photographers Michael Childers, William Claxton, and Douglas Kirkland. While enjoying the gallery I had a chance to chat with Dale Chihuly, the world premier glass artist and part time Palm Springs resident. From there we went to dinner at Le Valluris with several clients and enjoyed some delicious wine over a relaxing dinner. Below is a photo taken of me looking rather stiff in front of the rosring fire before dinner...

Afterward, we attended a PS Film Fest party sponsored by House & Garden magazine, held at the former estate of Frank Sinatra, which was a stunning example of midcentury modern architecture. There, I had a chance to chat with actress Ayesha Dharker, star of the film Outsourced. She was very sweet and quite interesting as well. I also chatted with two writers from The Desert Sun, Maggie Downs and Xochitl Pena, who offered an interesting perspective on writing newspaper columns. From there we went to one of the PS Film Fest parties held at the hip Viceroy Hotel, where there was a fabulous party with a very trendy, swank crowd. Below: Rick Rockhill enjoying a glass of wine at the Viceroy Hotel lounge...with another roaring fire on a chilly winter night in the desert...
