Rick's Roadshow: Portland, Oregon

Welcome to another installment of Rick's Roadshow. This post comes from Portland, Oregon, where I am on a quick business trip. I was so busy in Portland that I barely had time to take many photos. I did capture a few good pictures of Mt Hood, which is so beautiful. These photos below are mainly from the Lake Oswego area. I took these photos after my early morning walk.

above left: The lake had a flock of ducks (or is it a gaggle) swimming happily in the water. Above right: the square had these jets of water shooting up fromthe ground. The water danced around quite merrily in the morning sun.

above: This part of Lake Oswego was very quaint, with really nice public areas and walkways. There was plenty of public art on display, which is always good indication of a town's culture I think. On the top of the pile of rocks is a statue of a man. Tough to see, but just take my word.

above: these two super cool dogs were waiting outside of a coffee shop for their dad. I love dogs...
Friday I'm in Seattle and hope to have a few photos for you to share. Stop by again as Rick's Roadshow continues...

You really do make an excellent tour guide -taking me to all these places, such wonderful photos and all, and providing the opportunity for me to learn so much more about the places you take me to see too. Keep it all coming!

The sunshine is definitely gentler there than it is in the desert. I don't have to wear sunglasses to look at these pics!

I love the PacNW. Gorgeous scenery. I used to live there (in a previous life 20+ years ago!), and there are times I miss it. Simply stunning. Can't wait to see your Seattle photos!
