Wisdom Wednesdays: Featuring Dr Sidney Wang

Dr Wang, the psychic betta fish
.
Starting with today's Wisdom Wednesday column, Dr Wang presents a new format to his weekly post. Instead of responding to individual e-mails here, each week Dr Wang will offer a favorite quote of wisdom or advice appropriate for all readers. First, a dose of fish wisdom:
"There is a shark-like person in your life or at work) who has negative energy. Be careful not to align with this individual, their bite has long lasting implications"
-Dr Wang
This week's quote is from Ralph Waldo Emerson:
"Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them."
Thanks for reading,
-Dr Wang

your quote and discussion reminds me of a workshop I used to lead on goal setting. I used to use the movie, "Rudy" as my discussion tool.

That movie showed what goals a person can attain when they stop listening to the nay-sayers.

Thanks for reminding me!

It's true, there is always someone to tell you you're taking the wrong course. But if it feels right and you have the courage, then tally ho!
