Rick's Roadshow: St Louis, Missouri

The past two days I was in St Louis attending a conference on pet food and animal nutrition where I was the keynote speaker. Generally you won't see much here about my work or professional endeavors. I prefer to keep that part of my life separate, so I'll skip the rest of the details. I enjoyed speaking at the conference, because it was an opportunity to interact with nutritionist experts and professionals in the pet food industry.
A nice view of the Arch at night:
above: After dinner I enjoyed a glass of wine on the rooftop outdoor lounge, with a magnificent view of the St Louis Arch. In the foreground is one of those fire pits which provided a pleasant glow under the moonlight.
Well that's all for today's update. I'm headed to the airport now, on my way to Rome, Italy for a long weekend. Then on Monday we head to Civitavecchia, Italy where we set sail for our Mediterranean Cruise! So this weekend I'll be blogging from Rome, and then provided the ship's satellite link works, I'll start my daily cruise blog. Thanks for stopping by!

Rick, I am just SO GLAD you get to take another cruise, because my gosh, you just don't get to do that sort of thing very often, now do you!

As I walk by the pool in our apartment complex, I shall gaze upon the fat lady floating on the air mattress because in a small way, she slightly resembles a cruise ship, and I'll think of you.

The pet food industry sounds strangely glamorous.
