Starting the New Year off right, with Stevie Nicks

I've decided that 2008 is going to be a good year. For starters, Stevie Nicks has answered my prayers. She is coming to Palm Springs. Famous for her mystical chanteuse image, Stevie is still enjoying a strong career recording and touring schedule. I went to see her in San Diego in 2007 and shortly thereafter sent Stevie an e-mail asking her to add a Palm Springs tour date. And what do you know, voila! Ah the power of the written word. I am just hoping that I can get to chat with Stevie backstage after the show. Once she hears that The Palm Springs Savant will be in the audience I'm quite sure she will summon me...or at least conjure up a White Winged Dove to fetch me. So, on a bed of nails, I wait- to hear the call of the Nightbird. You can bet your sweet bippy that I'll be posting about it on February 3rd.

Oh Yes. I may be much younger than she, but she's still a goddess in my book. I'd love to get a chance to see her live.

I love Stevie. She rocks. Somebody told me she's blind, and has to be led onstage by her arm.

Bah. She'll just keep draggin' your heart around.

I luv Stevie. Saw Fleetwood Mac a couple times back in the day. Stevie and Christine both - their voices just mesmerize.

Break out your Tom Petty mask, jump on stage and sign a sweet duet with her! That'll start your year off right.

Eric- this will actually be my 15th time seeing Stevie live (yes, I'm a closet groupie).

Mrs G- I'm sure she'll be twirlin around so much her shawls and scarfs will be flowing without the wind machine!

minijonb- Tom Petty mask..good idea. But I think I'd empty the joint if started singing.

Anne- I love the Mac too...ah how I miss them

Rick,
Happy New Year! You surely get to see interesting shows, places, people... that´s the good life! I have never seen Stevie, but I love her voice; it´s unique. Enjoy the show :)

She's not as easy to work into a female impersonator revue as Carol Channing--but maybe that is a good thing.

I mean, everyone is doing Carol Channing, and--just speaking for myself--it is getting kind of played out.

I will work on my Stevie Nicks and let you know how it goes over.

Very cool! And if you did get to meet her in person I have a friend who would be sooo jealous, she's a huge fan.
