Steve Garvey's Softball Classic to fight Lou Gehrig's Disease

If you are a baseball fan, this is an event not to be missed. Saturday July 10 is Steve Garvey's Celebrity Softball Classic to benefit Lou Gehrig's disease. Here's the really cool part; some amazing baseball legends will be playing, including Steve Garvey, Pete Rose, Tommy Lasorda, Ron Cey, Maury Wills, plus current LA Dodger players, and a number of Hollywood celebrities too. Tillman the amazing skateboarding bulldog will also be on hand to entertain and take photos during the day. The LA Chapter of the ALS Association has organized a FREE Family Fun Festival from 12 to 5 pm, followed by a softball game from 6 to 8 pm. Lots of opportunities for free autographs throughout the day with MLB baseball legends and celebrities, fun vendor booths, rock climbing wall, dunk-an-ump, speed pitch booth, entertainment, food & baseball memorabilia too. The event is being held at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. Tickets to the softball game are only $20 for adults, and $10 for kids. I met Steve G. on a flight a while back. Such a nice man. And even more special because my own father passed away from ALS in 1994. It's a horrible disease.
