Rooftop Dining at Bertrand's @ Mr A's
When I am at my San Diego home, one of my favorite restaurants is Bertrand's at Mr A's. Located on the top floor of a building on a hill, it has one of the best views in San Diego. When it's warm enough, I like to dine outside on the roof deck, which wraps around the main dining room. Being a semi-regular there, I request "my usual table", which has the birds eye view of downtown, the harbor, Point Loma and Coronado.
After a bottle of wine watching the sun set, I decided it was time to order dinner.
Above left: View of downtown San Diego from my usual table at Bertrand's & above right: a spectacular sunset over Point Loma.
Above left: Baby Arugula salad and Shropshire English Blue Cheese with pear julienne and sherry vinaigrette & above right: Shrimp with fresh herb and organic tomatoes.
The service at Bertrand's is always top drawer. They are very attentive and anticipate your needs.

And the Most Important Course...

Now that flat iron steak looks mighty good to me!
I'm chuckling because when I was out in San Diego with a beau (years ago) he NEVER took me anywhere that served food like this!
That food looks too good! And I haven't eaten breakfast yet. My stomach is grumbling now...
You knew that I'd hone in on this post, didn't you? Self-admitted food whore, here. I would have to find a way to do the dishes without the meat, though.....
The view, the desserts, the service.....all raised the hairs on my arms and legs.
