Miss Peaches, the Famous Pro Plan Dog

Last week I flew to St Louis, Missouri on business to visit Nestle-Purina Pet Care. Even though I've been to St Louis many times before, I wanted to take some photos for the ol' blog, but I didn't have much time for sightseeing. The only photo I was able to snap was in the car as we whisked past the famous St Louis Arch (see left). During the course of the business meetings, I met the famous "Miss Peaches", who is a beautiful and graceful standard Poodle. Miss Peaches is the dog featured on the package of Pro Plan Selects Salmon and Brown Rice dog food (see photo below). I am a dog lover and enjoyed meeting her. She sat quietly in the middle of our meeting, occasionally strolling over to say hello and for a kiss. Below: Miss Peaches does a few tricks for us.

Since I work for PETCO, every-so-often I take my dog Koshimi to work. He likes going to PETCO and all the attention he gets. When I was in St Louis sitting in the meeting with Miss Peaches, all I could think of was how much I missed Koshimi.

Above: Koshimi being playful and silly...he's a great dog.

Miss Peaches is quite adorable, but Koshimi makes me smile!

We're supposed to get a new pet store near here (Benton Harbor, MI) but it's hush-hush. I'm betting either Petco or Petsmart. Considering I do 90% of my pet shopping online now because we don't have a nearby pet store, I'm looking forward to this development.

I like St. Louis--they have that really huge McDonald's right downtown in case you ever get hungry.

As much as I love other animals, there's something truly unmatchable about a sweet, well-mannered dog. :-)

Thanks for visiting the Poodles, dogs and me. Miss Peaches is truly a lovely spokesdog.

Too bad you didn't take a trip up the St. Louis arch. It is quite memorable.

Last time I stayed in St Louis my traveling buddy , watched porn all night while I was passed out drunk. We split the room but it was on my card, I checked out and the nioce lady told shared the list of movies I watched , my buddy assured me he would pay me back. He did, but damn, I cant stay in St Louis again its been nearly twenty years and I still have a hangover....Just dropping by, thanks for the hospitality. Got any aspirin? Water?

I've lived on the two coasts for the past 20+ years but have roots in the Midwest. St. Louis is a great, under-rated city. It has more of an East Coast vibe than Kansas City or Indianapolis and has a decent transit system. And the people are pretty sane for the "heartland."
