Sunday Art Review: African Artist Lawrence Jones

For this week's Sunday Art Review post, I am featuring an unknown African artist I met at the Natural Expo West trade show in Anaheim. His name is Lawrence Jones, who was hired by a global food manufacturer to paint on site. His work caught my eye and i thought it was a perfect feature for the Sunday Art Review. (Thank you Lawrence, for allowing me to photograph your art). This photo above shows Lawrence painting with what looked like a pin...not a paintbrush. I was fascinated to see him create this art before my eyes.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Sunday Art Review as much as I did!

It must have been amazing to see the paint transform into art right before your eyes.

An interesting technique used with my favorite medium. The paintings are so quickly created, yet express good detail. Thanks for sharing! Steven
